Accessible Poker Squares SV
Attention Please!
It has come to my attention that a small problem still exists with Accessible Poker Squares SV at certain times.
First, let me assure you, this problem will not hurt your computer in any way!
That would be totally impossible, I promise you!
In fact, I always install these games on my system too, so I am sure they are safe!
However, when this problem does happen, it looks like Accessible Poker Squares SV does not work, and this is not true.
Only a relatively few people will experience this problem, and there is a very simple solution to it.
First, here is the problem:
This problem only happens if you install Accessible Poker Squares SV as your very first Accessible Game from this web site.
In this case, during the installation, you will recieve 2 error messages saying it could not register a COM or ActiveX control.
If this happens to you, simply uninstall Accessible Poker Squares SV, then download and install another trial version of a different game, such as Accessible Suit Yourself SV, then once this other game is installed, go ahead and install Accessible Poker Squares SV again, and the problem should be resolved.
I am very sorry for any trouble this may cause anyone, but as a one man business, some things do get past me.
I take full responsibility for this problem, and I will resolve it properly in due time.
In the meantime, please resolve the problem as described above.
Lastly, it does not matter if the time limit runs out on the other game you install, just leave it installed on your system so Accessible Poker Squares SV will work properly.
I believe this problem only exists in the trial version.
Thus, another good way to resolve the problem is to purchase the registered version of Accessible Poker Squares SV!
Thank you very much,

Accessible Poker Squaires SV is a solitaire card game for one player, and is designed specifically for visually impaired gamers.
This game contains the Eloquence text to speech engine, allowing visually impaired and blind gamers complete access to this fun filled game, through spoken speech output.
No screen reader or any other software is required. Just install it, and it will talk to you!
Accessible Poker Squaires SV is played with a standard deck of 52 playing cards. The card graphics are displayed on the screen for sighted players, and the Eloquence speech engine provides a full spoken interface for all!
Accessible Poker Squares is a solitaire card game based on a poker theme.
Twenty five cards are placed face down in a pile on the game screen, and the top card is turned over so that its value is known to the player.
there is a 25 cell grid on the lower part of the screen.
As each card is turned over on the pile, and its value becomes known to the player, the player must move that card from the top of the pile to one of the cells on the grid.
Where to place the card in the grid requires some thought though.
Since the grid has 25 cells, it has 5 rows and 5 columns.
Each one of these rows and columns contains 5 cells, Which is the same number of cards required to have a poker hand.
Thus, when all 5 cells in a row contain a card, the row is a poker hand.
Likewise, when the player places cards in all 5 cells of a column, the column becomes a poker hand.
When the grid is full, the 5 rows will make poker hands, and the 5 columns will each make a poker hand.
This results in a total of 10 poker hands when the grid is full.
When the final card on the pile is placed on the grid, filling all 25 cells, a scoring window will appear showing the player their score in great detail.
The player can use the arrow keys on the keyboard to read this score sheet as slowley as they wish.
The score sheet will tell the player the score for each poker hand (a row or a column), say if the hand was a royal flush, full house, 3 of a kind, and so on.
Finally, a total score is given at the bottom of the score sheet.
Players can compare their total scores with their friends to see who is the best Accessible Poker Squares SV player.
Just remember, no betting on a game though, it is not legal!
You may think it is easy to make high scoring poker hands in this manner, but go ahead and try it.
You are in for quite a surprise!
It is a lot more fun than you might think it is!

Spoken Help Messages!
While playing this game, you can press the F1, F2, F3, and F4 function keys on your keyboard for instant spoken help messages.
The F1 function key provides context sensitive help messages.
The F2 function key provides a Quick summery(faq) of the game.
The F3 function key provides a list of keyboard commands.
The F4 function key provides a list of the scoreing hands.
The help messages provided by these keys will be spoken, and optionally can be displayed in a pop up window, so you may review them at any time.
When you first install the game and open it the first time, I strongly encourage you to press the F1 function key to bring up the help system, and read all of it before you play your first game.
However, if you are like most people, and never read help files, (why do you think us programmers write help files for anyways?), then at least do the following in this order:
1. Press the F2 function key and listen to the entire message in full. This will give you a good overview of the game and how to play it.
2. Press the F3 function key to hear a list of keyboard commands that will help you play the game using only the keyboard.
Finally, press the F4 function key for a message about poker hands and how they are scored in this game. This is very important to know!
Anytime you play this game and you forget something about it, remember to use these F1, F2, F3, and F4 function keys for reminders!
Note: After pressing a function key, the message will be spoken and the text will also appear on the screen, if you want to use your arrow keys to read it again slowley. To close the window containing this text, just press the Escape key or Enter key on your keyboard!
Eloquence Speech Output!
This game contains a copy of the Eloquence text to speech engine!
This is the same speech engine that is found in expensive applications such as the JAWS For Windows, and Window-Eyes, screen reading programs.
This is the best text to speech engine in the world, with 8 distinct voices, the ability to change speech settings such as the pitch, volume, and even how fast it speaks!
Accessible Poker Squares SV was designed to be a fun, easy to play game that does not require a great deal of concentration.
Many times, I want a game to be easy to play, and easy to remember. I do not want to read a large manual and take notes, just so I can play a game for a few minutes.
Likewise, if I have not played the game for some time, I would like to spend my time playing the game, not reading about a game.
Even if you have not played Accessible Poker Squares SV for a year, you should be able to open the game and play using just the F2, F3, and F4 function key help messages.
Your time is valuable, use it playing, not reading about playing!
Warning! Play at your own risk!
Please note, this game is so addictive you may not be able to stop!
Please play this game at your own risk. We do not want anyone getting fired from their job, or being expelled from school, because they were playing Accessible Poker Squares SV, and forgot what time it was!
Don't believe it? Try it yourself!
Very Important!
If you are using a screen reading program on your computer, you must silence its speech output, so the Eloquence speech output can speak with no interruptions.
The Screen Reader Settings page includes information for the most commonly used screen readers.
If you do not find your screen reader listed, read the help file for your screen reader, and learn how to silence your screen reader.
Please read the Screen Reader Settings information before continuing.
